The Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) is a dynamic, fast-paced research organization committed to improving educational outcomes through the power of research and evidence. CEPR projects use rigorous quantitative methods to answer questions about policy and practice in K-12 and higher education settings. As a member of CEPR’s analytic team, you would be an integral part of projects that are on the cutting edge of research looking at attendance, college and career transitions, and math and literacy achievement.

As a Research Analyst II, you can expect to oversee and execute complex data cleaning, conduct descriptive, quasi-experimental, and experimental analyses, produce custom reports and data visualizations, and prepare deliverables for external stakeholders in education agencies across the country. You’d be a great fit for this job if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, education policy, public policy, statistics, social science, computer science, or a related field
  • Have at least 3 years experience working with real-world data to conduct econometric analyses (1 of which may come from coursework)
  • Are proficient in using Stata to manage, prepare, and analyze data
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Enjoy analytic problem-solving
  • Work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Are motivated to produce quality, actionable research and evidence to strengthen students’ educational outcomes
  • Are dedicated to continual learning and skill development
  • Can work from our Cambridge office 3 days a week
